4 – 8 % gives darker shades than the Red Iron Oxide. When in combination with other oxides gives dark mineral brown/black shadows. Great for combining with other oxides, particularly Copper Oxide.

All photographs show the oxide used in combination with JSC earthenware transparent glaze fired to 1140ºC. The results will vary depending on what glaze you use.
